The new 2.0 adds a feature to simplify the setup by a drag and drop interface to specify the physical placement of components. The information will then be used in the image processing routines to detect features matching the setup. The configuration window will automatically launch if no previous configuration exists.

The ITU Gaze Tracker is an open-source eye tracking software platform designed to support different hardware components, such as some webcams, videocameras and machine-vision cameras for increased performance.

This feature is really useful since the other day I was trying to use GT 2.0 with a sandberg webcam, two infrared lamps and a visible light filter and I couldn’t manage to get a good calibration since the glints crosses were very jerky/unstable.
